Arcserve 2000 Merge Error

I'm getting the following error when I try to merge session 2 off a tape that was created in June of 2002.

Error 3884 Unable to position media catalog file

Any help would be great!

This could happen if arcserve has a incorrect info. in its database. The best way to get rid of this would be,

1) Goto the database manager/ media records
2) Highlight the record which you are trying to restore and click on the trash can button on top of the window.
3) The record will be deleted from the database.
4) Then merge the session 2 from the tape... DatabaseBaba...
