Hi at all.
When I try to backup my Exchange Server with the granular agent(to get single mails, etc restored) sometimes it works and sometimes it won't.
ArcServe suggests after in the backup message to change the timeout settings.
But where do I have to do this? On the Backup Server or on the Exchange Server? Or on both?
----
Error E8535
Failed to receive data from the agent. (Node=[node name] [node address])
Module:
Task
Reason:
This error message indicates that CA ARCserve Backup could not receive data because the socket could not be reset or it timed out.
When browsing the Windows server during a VSS job, the browse process for a writer stops responding and then fails when the timeout value has been reached.
Action:
By default, the socket times out after 1200 seconds (20 minutes).
1. Increase receiving and sending timeout settings from the registry key below.
\\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\CA ARCserve Backup\Base\Task\Remote
ReceiveTimeOut DWORD 3600
SendTimeOut DWORD 3600
