Ok i have Arcserve 12 installed with Disaster Recovery, but for the life of me i cannot get the recovery to go smoothly. I have done a full backup of my server and then run the recovery using the full DR image including drivers and the MSD. After the restore i dont see to have anything in my DHCP scope or even any exchange store. this is really starting to annoy me as i have spent days on it, i have read everything i can find and would be grateful if anyone can shed some light on this for me.

One one thing about DR with exchange, is that you have to restore the mail DB's after the fact, but it goes smoothly (atleast it did for us). I never had a problem with DR in 12.

Sorry for not being much help.

I have always thought of DR as a quick easy way to get the system back up and running as a system. In other words DR to get the boot volume back. Once that is done I restart to bring it up under the old/original configuration and then go back to ARCserve to restore my data volumes and databases.

The DHCP should come back with the System State restore.

Restore of an Exchange database I don't remember off hand but remember the Exchange Option User Guide detailed it out and so I just followed that.
