ArcServ2000 AntiVirus Conflict?

We have recently installed AVG Server Edition AntiVirus software from Grisoft on Windows 2000 and ArcServe 2000. When the resident shield is running it swamps the server and network accessiblity to that server is nill. When we stop all the ArcServe Services the problem disappears.

Is anyone experiencing this issue, if so, is there a resolution?

At minimum, can anyone tell me what anti-virus software they have running concurrently with ArcServe 2000 successfully?

ARcserve 2000 works with pretty much all the AV softwares.

it should work best with their own AV, InoculateIT\Etrust

Try stopping the AV and check if all is OK.

Set the AV to scan the incoming direction only..

The server (NT4) freezes and the only way is to reboot the server.
