I have a few users with very large mail files. Since they are in upper management, our normal archiving procedures don't seem to apply to them. What I need to do is set them up to archive to another server that has more disk space to accomodate them. How do I set that up? I know a little bit about directory links - can I create a directory link and then point their archive path to that directory? How do you do that for multiple users? Any help would be appreciated.

Try this - cautiously.
Create a directory on the server.
Have them close Notes.
Move the archive .nsf to the new directory. (Don't leave a copy in the orig directory.)
Start Notes.
Change the archive location (File | Database | Properties
|Archive Settings) to the new directory.

I've done that with my own archive and it seems to work without any problem. (But obviously it's one thing to lose your own archive, and another to lose someone else's.)

I agree with Shelbyville above. Another way to get to the archive settings to change the location of the archive is actions > archive > settings. This will also work if an archive has not yet been created as it will create it in the specified location.

Thanks for the info. Will that work even though the server I want to archive to is not a Domino server? Or will I have to create a folder link in Domino to that folder?

No link in domino required. Just point it to the new location. You just showing notes where the file is to be stored.
