Therefore from today on, we have a calendar reform, our months are now ordered alphabetically:

April
August
Dezember
Februar
Januar
Juli
Juni
Mai
März
November
Oktober
September

You should even recognize most months names without any translations. Just be prepared, this years October fest is next years February in the old calendar.

Well, they were. Gregory XIII could have named October Gregor, since that was the month he shortened in 1582. He could also have thrown out Julius and Augustus and put in some pope names.

If I'd had a chance to rename something, it would be the weekdays. I'd rename them so the first letters would assemble my name. That'll be obvious every month, not just every Gregor. Something like Diebelsday, Oettingerday, Schöfferhoferday, Clausthalerday, Hasseröderday, Königpilsenerday, and Erdingerday.

Hm, maybe I could find some sponsors for that...
