I'm running a windows 2000 sp3 citrix XPe FR2 farm using WBT's, W98 & W2k clients with latest Citrix client to connect.

What happens is that randomly someone logs in and the server stops responding (you see people losing there sessions and get disconnected) The server is not using 100% cpu either.

I figured then out that the moment you connect and receives its terminal server profile from the file server it is trying te process appserv.ini. At that stage lies the problem because when i kill that users connecten with the file server, the citrix server respond like normal. (all other people that tried to connect at that time will logon further) I know that pn.exe is processing appserv.ini during logon.

Does anyone have a clue what may go wrong?

Thx

Have you tried deleting the profile completely and forcing it to be recreated?
