Sorry to post such a trvial and some may say childish question.

Is there a way on IPO to have a button on a phone that allows you to deflect a call to voicemail?

Heres the scenario- a user is in a group (the only user in the group). They receive calls from this group to their extension, but sometimes they decide they dont want to answer the call, and they want to press a button on their phone that sends the call to the groups voicemail. Just like when you reject a call on your mobile.

One more piece of vital info. Its an analogue handset.

On an analogue handset, once it is 'ringing' all you can do is pick up the phone or let it ring.

Set a no answer timer after which call will be redirected to voicemail.

Or let the user activate do not disturb (before the phone rings)

Or..... get another phone

You're right - that was a vital piece of info. Nothing you can push on an analog phone to do this. Unless you can rig a button to mute the ring...

just a note, the above options would send the call to the users voicemail not the group one. To do that wthey would have to have forwards setup to shortcodes that drop in to the group VM.

Jamie - are you sure, it should drop it into the group mailbox, just as it would if the call wasnt answered.

try phone manager lite or decrease the NO answer time.

EpoUser08, this is not possible with an analogue handset on any system never mind just the IP Office. Only way round it is timers or using the Phone Manager app as suggested
