Apply the R3 factory image upgrade patch

Received a BCM 1.0 with upgrade bundle to a 3.0. I was able to follow the instructions to complete all three steps of the upgrade, however when I try to follow doc's regarding the Image Upgrade, things fall apart for me. I tried to do it directly from the CD's that were sent to me, and then I tried to copy the files to my PC first, but still nothing. Am I missing a step? Thanks in advance.
 
Have you got the actual rel3 image file....
It does NOT come with the 3 cds
You will need to get it from nortel or your Tech support.
 
I have 3 disks that were included in the bundle.

BCM 4.0 GA Software for Imaging tool, disc's 1,2,and 3 OF 3 total.

After I copy the files from the 3 CD's to my PC and try to do the upgrade, the files are not visible. If I do a search on my PC outside of the BCM, then I can see the files. When I try to do the upgrade, I get an error that says: "No U?D files are located", or something very similar to that.
 
Those r the wrong disks. U have a BCM 50 and your disks say BCM 4.0 GA. Snowman is right, go to the Nortel site and look for the R3 uprade image patch.

As much as I appreciate your input, I'm still not having luck. Is there a certain file name that I am searching for?
When I go to the website to find the correct patch, nothing seems too intuitive to me by looking at the file names. When I click on the "Read Me" file, 95% of the time, it appears to be code as opposed to words! Thanks for your input(s).

I am in the process of doing the same upgrade. The image files were taken off of the Nortel site last week. They were replaced today. Log in and go to the Software dowloads page for the BCM50. It is under "major releases". Download the three files. Use Mozilla to do so. When I was on the phone with Nortel, the tech said the Internet Exploder has a tendency to rename the first file. Go figure.
 
Thanks for all of the input. After spending half of my life on the phone with Nortel, I was able to find a contact that actually knew what files I was referring to and they got me to the correct spot. Thank you to all.
