Applications do not launch properly 2

I've installed Norton ghost2003 on my win2k pc approx 2weeks ago. It worked fine then. Today when I tried to use it ie. clicked on start, programs, norton ghost2003 it did not launch properly. After clicking on the above, norton ghost flashes on the screen as if it was about to open up then disappears.
I've run sophos antivirus and it did not detect any viruses.
I've had this happen before to other applications.
All help will be greatly appreciated!!!

I think you better double check you antivirus, use another oneor 2 (recent) to make sure. That behavious sounds like a virus. If the solution is out there, let us know it was helpful, so others can benefit from it as well..

Marcs41, you were right about using another antivirus checker. I downloaded the trial version of norton antivirus. I couldn't install it properly but it did alert me that the WORM TCPSVS32.EXE was trying to email itself. I only had the choice to quarantine the worm, not to delete it.
I searched google.com for tcpsvs32.exe and saw that a common name for it was YAHA.K. There was also a link to a site called CLEANYAHA.COM to download a small file to clean this worm. I downloaded the file, ran it and found 24 instances of the worm in WINNT/SYSYEM32 folder and deleted them. According to the write up this file also fixes the problems in the registry caused by this worm.
I am now happy to say that My norton ghost is now working again and the norton antivirus software was able to complete its installation.
