Looking to be able to dial ext number...have it ring 12 phones at the same time...as each phone is answered to have conitune to ring the remaining phones till each one is answered. Any thoughts? Tellabs makes a device, relays and ring gens and such that will do this. trying to find a better way.

Do you want to talk to the 12 extensions also, collectively as a conference or singular before ringing the next one.

The conference setup features of SoftConsole and Voicemail Pro will automatically ring a set of numbers and when answered invite each to join a conference (this can be done without needing the IP Office Conferece Server).

Thanks for the responce. Its for a factory emergency...fire..all phones ring and keep ringing till and yes the all talk to each other once picked up.

I'd agree with IPAlot, use a fire alarm for a firm alarm, don't tie it to your phone system (and that not based on any view of the IP Office's reliability).

In fact our building rules are that once the fire alram goes off you should leave your desk and exit immediately, ignoring anything such as ringing phones - most fire brigades say "get out, stay out".

& if one of the Fire mashals is away on holiday etc. wont his phone just keep ringing?

I would sugest you set up a ConferenceMeetMe shortcode for an In house emergency so that Fire Marshals/ 1st aiders can join in as soon as they here the alarm bell
