I would like to develop an application that can register the dll for the user. can anyone help me? I am a clever newbie...[peace]

Go to the command prompt and type in regsvr32 /? and hit enter. Look at the /s attribute along with the others.

Good Luck

That is not what I really want. I have a DLL that I would like to distribute to my customers. So if i want to make it in such a way that when customers put in the CD and run the setup, it will register the DLL automatically. I am a clever newbie...[peace]

If you have a DLL as part of a project, and use P & D W then your DLL will be registered as part of the installation process Let me know if this helps
