Application Server Upgrade Stuck on 90%

I'm attempting to upgrade an App Server running on VM Ware from 11.0.4.1 to 11.0.4.4 in preparation for upgrading it to 11.1.1. The upgrade to 11.0.4.4 has been stuck on 90% for over an hour. How do I proceed from here, should I reboot the virtual server?

I rebooted the virtual server and the upgrade continued but went back to 60% complete and started going up from there. At about 70% I received an upgrade failure notification. The voicemail continued to function at 11.0.4.1 after that so that's where it's being left for now.
