Hi Folks,

I have a problem at the moment whereby my Intranet site hangs up every now and again and I have to recycle the pool to get it up and running again. I just haven't managed to find the time to source the cause of the problem.

So at the moment, if it hangs, people call me and I recycle the pool by connecting remotely to the server. Obviously if I am not at my desk or out of the office this is an issue.

I was wondering if it was possible to write a script to connect remotely to IIS and recycle a certain pool. I could then give different people access to this script which they could run in my absence.

Other than that, what is the easiest way to debug IIS hanging up.

MS recently release the Debug Diagnostics tool which helps in troubleshooting issues such as this. As for Pool Recycling, if I recall isn't there an option in IIS that allows for this (in certain intervals). Hope this helps.
