Using Access97, I need to create folders on the same server/directory as the application. I can't hard code the path because not all users are on the same server as the application. When I use CurDir the returned string is the user's FileSystem path. Any suggestions?

If you want to create directories within the directory that Access 97 (the application) resides, you can use the Application.Path property.

This returns the path where Access 97 resides.

i think i have the same kind of problem... although i cant use the solution for two reasons :

1) i dont want to use the acces path, i need to use the currentdb directory.

2) the application.path property does not seem to be available... (so not working in access)

thanks

Take a look at the Application.CurrentProject.Pathproperty.

im sorry... i dont have that either... the only thing i have that might be similar is application.currentdb but it does not support the path property.

it is kinda weird... are u sure you are in access 97 ?

No, I'm in 2000, I don't have a copy of 97 accessible and was just seeing if maybe that was an option.

Using Google, I came up with this: Let me know if that's any help.

Access questions will probably get more comprehensive answers in one of the (several) Access forums, rather than this, the VB5/6 forum.

You can find them in the 'Related Forums' panel on the right
