Hello:
My application log is always full. Every time I log in to check out the server it's always full. Is there a way to stop this?

Thanks in advance

Erick

Go to event viewer and find out what's going into the app log - you may have a problem.

Make the Application log larger, Remove some of the auditing, set the log to overwrite the oldest entries

Even with just the default Exchange logging the initial log size of 512Kb will be filled in about 12hrs on a moderately loaded server.

I have recently noticed my MTA's have been "hanging" or at least working very slowly. When went to the event logs they were full - increasing the size\and setting them to overwrite as required and using nbtstat -a to kick the connections off suddenly emptied the queues.

Maybe a coincidence but I am now goibg to ensure all my exchange servers are set to use a large app log and overwrite.

Thanks so much. I increased the size of the log and set it to over write ,all is working fine now.
