application closed by itself

We have Crystal Enterprise installed on our database server. When I click on crw32.exe, the Crystal Report 10 opens. But I couldn't do anything. No matter what I selected, open existing file or create new file, the application closes by itself. It happens every time I want to use Crystal report. I don't know why. Any ideas? Thanks.

I just ran into this same problem. There is a BO article on this that explains how to deal with this, and it worked perfectly for me. It does involve deleting a folder in the registry though so you need to be very comfortable with working with the registry. Here is the link to the article:

PS. I believe the corruption might have occurred after trying the report expert (which I ordinarily never use), so I won't be using that again anytime soon!
