Hello,

In ColdFusion MX (6 and 7) is there any reason I should not put many comment lines in my Application.cfm?

I want to put the change log for version features\bug fixes at the bottom of the Application.cfm. My thought is that if it is compiled into java anyway the comments are removed during this process.

Thanks,

Michael42

Yes the comments are removed, be sure that your comments are <!--- with the comment, note the three -'s if you use a normal HTML comment it will be visible in the end generated html code.

There is also a whitespace option in the CF administrator that you will want to turn on to remove the empty lines returned by CF removing the comments.

Thanks very much for the confirmation guys. :)
