Anyone know of a way to append a "#" after the inter-digit timer expires whilst dialling out? My system is connected via an 2 wire XCOT card to a satellite earth station that requires the "#" to indicate end of dialling to complete the call. I'd like this done automatically as most of the users will be blissfully unaware of the requirement to do this, and other trunks are connected to fixed cellular terminals that don't require the "#" to make calls.

TIA

John

the system sends out the # after the interdigit and then the end of dial timer.. if you flen is setup right, then the switch will know that your last digit is the complete number and cancel both timers and send the #,, normal switching time via 2 81c's point to point pri's, coast to coast (stateside} is under .09..

because my dsc's are clean, the switch see's the 5 digit as the last digit..same with 9 plus ld, last digit to ringback is before you can rls the last digit.. i haven't seen timed test on that in a while..

btw that # is international end of dial string, all switches send it, the timing needs to be addressed

John,

This is DTMF signalling on analogue 2 wire, no d-channel involved. The trunk only sends out what the user dials.
