Hi, I was wondering if its a good idea to use Incremental backups with Append to media option. What I understand from this is, that if something goes wrong, I can restore anything from the time of last Full backup to the last incremental one???

What if someone accidently deleted some files say on Tueday and found out on Friday that they are missing those files. Would I be able to restore those files after the incremntal backups have been taken on everyday basis.

Many thanks in advance!

Regards,
Chkmg

You should be able to restore those files right up until the expiration date.

Incremental you would need all the sets to restore from.
Differential you need the the full and last Diff

Thanks a lot guys. You really helped make things clear to me. By the way I am using NTBackup. Take care!
