Hi

&m=portal/report-viewer.xts
&method=execute
&m_obj=/content/package[@name='URL']/report[@name='City']
&outputFormat=HTML
&outputLocale=en-us
&prompt=true
&m_name=City

If I paste the above url in the address bar of internet explorer, the prompt page appears and when i provide the prompt the report runs..

Is there any thing like '&prompt_value=tokyo' that when added to the above url (as a parameter to the cognos.cgi) runs the report directly for the parameter value 'tokyo'..

or simply how to append parameter values to the report url dynamically..

Thanks
Kumar

Hi

I changed the url accordingly and ran the report and it is asking for prompt value. Do I need to change any run options for the report.

Here is the url

[@name='URL']/report[@name='City']&Cty=4

Prompt name I used in the filter of the tabular model is 'Cty'..

Please correct me, if I the above url is wrong..

Thanks and Regards
Kumar

Hi Kumar,

you need to add 'p_' in front of your parameter name, so in your case try &p_Cty=4

Regards,
Anna
