Appearance Line Flash

Hello Guys,

A customer complaint about the signaling ringing on the phone screen,the reason is on this phone i configured a line appaerance for outgoing call,but all incoming call goes at the receptionist extension that is correct, but by each incoming call, all user who has a line appearance , on their phone screen also flash even though no ring is set for them. There is a way to disable this flash call even though this user have a line appearance programmed on his phone ?

You've been told NOT to use line appearance keys a few times....But the whole purpose is to SEE when they are in use, if they don't want to see this why have the button?

Alright,the better is to NOT use it. Can not deny if the user use an appearence line

Even when using POTS lines it is best like amriddle01 states to NOT use line appearances. The IPO just works much cleaner that way. Give them Park Buttons if they need to be able to pick-up calls from other exetensions.

This is a basic failure of the installer to understand what line appearances and how they work.

I'd suggest that you educate the customer, but as your profile show, you don't know enough to do that
