I've got an IP500 version 9.1.

The situation is, incoming calls go to a group of sets in the front office of a school and they want to be able to answer incoming hunt group calls on all sets but they only want one set to ring. Sort of like having APPEAR and RING or just APPEAR options on a Nortel Key Line.

I'm only able to find an option to change the ring in call settings for the user, but there isn't a no ring option.

Any suggestions?

thanks

To implement the no ring maybe think of putting the main set in the HG and make all the others use a bridged appearance set at no ring? Possible option.

Put a group button on the rest of the phones for that group. It'll light up and they can press it and answer it.

Add all members to the group and uncheck all but the one you want to ring Then put a call pickup button on the phones. Any member of that group can pick up a call even if their set is not ringing.

When asking a question like that saying what model of telephones is an enormous help to those who might answer.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

The sets are 9508s. thanks to all for the suggestions, I'll give them a shot.
