App behavior changes when users go from W95 to W2K

When users perform certain activities on application on W95 pc, the application behaves as expected (specifically, user can press ENTER key in lieu of mouseclicking on buttons set up as default buttons.) However, when on W2000 pc, users cannot press ENTER key (in lieu of mouseclicking on default buttons)....users get application error as follows: "The instruction at "0x77e1c2d0" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". "
Click on OK to terminate the program.
Click on cancel to debug the program

Has anyone got any ideas?

I'm getting a similar problem with users on WinNT. We also have Win2K machines that have no problems.

Sorry guys, PB 7.0.3 is the first version of PowerBuilder to be guaranteed to work with Win2K and guaranteed to be Y2K compatible.

The differences between the PCs is due to the differences between the underlying operating system DLLs.

What you can do is check to see if you are running in a 32-bit environment using the ENVIRONMENT object, then either disable the ENTER key as appropriate or use another set of code to accomplish the same task. I'd advice putting this code into the ancestor - probably at the PFE or CORP layer.
