hello,

I am having a major problem on my computer. I think I installed and uninstalled some Microsoft software on my machine and now the internet is not working.

The problem is that APIPA is enabled and so I am not receiving the correct IP address. So in the local area connection window my address type is Automatic Private Address and not Assigned by DHCP.

I have tried everything ipconfig/renew, ipconfig/release,
netsh int ip reset reset.log and also disabling apipa in the registry. But still nothin happened so can anyone help??

Oh btw i forgot to mentioned that my local area connection icon has changed its name to local area connection 3 for some reason.

I havent installed norton antivirus. But I do have Mcafee running but without the firewall being enabled. I have no firewall being enabled on the comp.
