I have a large system at a 24/7 call center and I want to provide back up power longer than the 30 mins it has now.

INVENTORY
IPO 500V2 CONTROL UNIT
12 DS 30 90% of ports being used

They want 6 hours of power.

What is the best way to calculate a system like this? Does Avaya have a UPS calculator?

Thank you

Look at the power consumption rating of the IPO and the power adaptors for the DS30s. Regardless of how many phones are connected the IPO and DS30s will not draw anymore power than their power ratings. Add all of that together to calculate the total load then go to the website of the UPS manufacturer and use their calculator. If you want to be very accurate use a multi-meter to measure the current going to the power bars the IPO and DS30s are connected to. To do this you would opviously have to power the system down to put the multimeter in between the wall outlet and the phone system.
