APACHE virtual server

I have configured httpd.conf for two virtual servers called web1 and web2 and changed my dns/hosts file to reflect the same IP address....but when i use IE5 to browse these sites apache output gives the same web page...why? can anyone help..I presume the problem is in httpd.conf? Or is it anything to do with the local cache?

I have managed to sort out the problem above...but now I cannot see the default page for Apache...its output is two different 'sites' but the default page is now one of these two sites. Is it possible to have the default Apache page also?

I am having a problem identical to the one you described in your first post. If you don't mind, could you tell me the secret to resolving this problem?

Strangely, I had no trouble doing the same thing with RedHat 6, so I wonder what has changed in RedHat 7..?

Sure! Just copy the contents of the DocumentRoot directory that HAS the Apache default pages to the DocumentRoot directory of the OTHER virtual web. Apache installas ONE set of default pages, but if you modify DocumentRoot, or define virtual Webs, then whatever's in those directories is what's shown when you access those Webs.
