We have problem to tranfer images from our APACHE server 2.0.54 to the clients.

On our APACHE server, we have a very simple html page with some .gif included in the page. When we call this page via our apache server, it takes only few seconds to download the page but it takes around 30-60 seconds to download all the images related to that page.

If we try to download the SAME page with IIS, it takes less than 3 seconds to be completely transfered (i.e.: text and images).

We are convinced that the problem resides on APACHE but we do not know how to fix this problem.

Both server, APACHE and IIS (not running at the same time) are installed on a windows server 2000.

If anyone had the same problem, please let us know the solution.

Thank you in advance for your help.

If you're clients are running IE, that's probably where the problem is. As a test, load Firefox or another browser and see if that makes any difference.

I too am seeing a slight lag when it comes to pulling down the images. I haven't pinpointed it, but the results using Firefox seems to be much better.

Let me know what you come up with.

Thanks
