Hi

I have attempted to install Apache/PHP on a new WinXP Home machine. I have it running succesfully on a Win98 machine.

Apache works fine.

PHP doesn't.

I get the following Apache log error when trying - File does not exist: c:/webroot/php/php.exe/phpinfo.php.

phpinfo.php is in c:/webroot. PHP is installed in c:/PHP.

Can anyone help?

Regards

I did a post in:

"Apache on Windows: how to set up an upload"

All the info is there for you to make it work.

Let me know.

Hi seanradio

Thanks for getting back to me.

Read your post and all installed as per your instructions.

I still have the problem.

In error.log is
File does not exist: c:/webroot/php/php.exe/phpinfo.php

php.ini has

doc_root = "c:\webroot"

Any other ideas?

Regards

Peter

Hi

Sorted this out.

Had the following in httpd.conf which stuffed everything up.

AddType application/x-http-php4 .php

Removed this and all OK. Funny thing is that this caused no problem on the previous (win98) implementation of Apache & PHP.

I am now somewhat balder.

Regards

Great to hear!

If you want to now install MYSQL - let me know - unless you already have it. I run Apache PHP & MYSQL - all as seperate downloads. Love them!!
