Hey guys,
My apache server was working just fine for about a week and then it suddenly started displaying characters like this in the log file.

??????????????????????????????•?‰???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????‰??????????????•?‰?????????????????????‰???????????•?‰????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I guess the font must have gotten messed up but I have no clue how to fix that.
THanks for your help in advance

Thank you for your response
YEs, I ve tried restarting Apache and restarting my PC but to no avail.
Would you have a clue why it might be doing this??
Thanks

arrigato,

This is the point where I ask the specifics about your server.

What version of Apache are you running on what OS?

Actually I just fixed it. THe problem was that when I cleared the log file ( by deleting it and saving it) I was choosing Save AS characters as unicode option ( instead of ANSI). THis is why I was having a problem with it.
Thank you for your help though. I appreciate people like you that are trying to help others.

arrigato,

I'm glad it's fixed now. Your problem and solution will probably come in handy to others in the future.

Take care,
