Apache access/permission problem?

Hey,

When I try to access any of my vhosts, I get a 403:

Code: 
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

haha and for us novices

the unix machines go out the window !! and the windows machines churn away as realiable as ever, ok UNIX is fun, but I used to have long nights of uninterrupted sleep, now I fall asleep at my chair trying to sort out why things dont work !!
