for some reason when using windowsME aol closes.the whole program closes.i would be surfing the internet and all of a sudden aol is gone.is this something with aol and windowsME.would aol 6 version fix this problem.

I think best method of a solution to this problem is to contact AOL. This is not a cop out (honest ;-) ). They do however have a free technical helpline, alternatively, contact them online, Probably keyword help or something!!!

I've had the same problem for some time now. I use Windows 98 ops sys and while on AOL it kicks me off at unpredictable times. I don't think it is the ops sys. Right now I am thinking it is my Connection to AOL. I have a DSL line that has a low line quality and I believe that is what is doing it. If I go back to my standard modem hookup of 56k over the phone line everything works fine.

Still trying to figure it out.....

Good luck!

actually, if you go to the windows support section...they will show you some of the troubleshooting questions and sure enough, this very problem is shared by many...it's a millenium issue and trust me,I'm pretty pee'd off about this crappy thing too. Why the heck didnt' they just keep with regular windows...now I am on my third pc in one day!!!
