I have searched these forum's and can't find what i'm looking for. Can anyone just point to a forum that can give some help with Anyview IDS? We are running Anyview against a SQL Datawarehouse. I'm having trouble getting some features to work, like Actions, and need a place to start.

Thanks.

Have you contacted the vendor, for assistance?

We are a small company and our IT consultant group is spearheading that part. We didn't get a tech support deal with them becuase we are using our group for help. Problem is that the guy in charge of our account has multiple customers and can't be there for us. I tried to find a knowledge base, with no luck. It seems that we have to pay for support, based on the number of issues we have, and we are letting our group do that. I've tried the help file, with no luck. I've learned a lot already (on my own) and am willing to share my knowledge for a little help.

Any suggestions?

to create the Action.
You will need to assign the action a name, Select View for action type, Select the report for the action to happen against.

In the Action Parameters, this is where the Linking happends. The actions will pass a column from the selected row into another report. From the main report, you can right click and see the action that you want to run.

If you want to pass the Employee ID from report A to report B. Select the Employee ID from report A and B.

I found it best to create a new report for the lookups(Actions) and from the viewer properties select FALSE for "SHOW IN NAVIGATOR"

Hope this helps

Dan.
