Wondering if anyone has tried the new Spectralink model 8030 on an Avaya system? We're running a handfull of Spectralink 3626 phones, but we know that this won't be the answer to our needs long term.
We're also playing with Cisco's 7921 wireless phones, but the integration between our S8710 (CM 2.2) isn't very seamless. I'm concerned that the Cisco phones will require too much work to achieve simple features such as bridged appearances, or integration with our Modular Messaging (3.0 w/MSS backend and two MAS units).
Our current portable phone of choice is an Ascom Medic 9p23 running 1.9GHz. We're supplying a digital port directly from the Avaya side, so it's easy to program features and merge with VM, unfortunately, we can't expand any further and must find a replacement.
Any comments regarding the Spectralink or Cisco are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your replies.
