Executive Software, the maker of Diskeeper 5, says it safely and effectively defragments NT drives, including RAID drive arrays.

Have any of you used Diskeeper 5 on your SQL Server box that uses a drive array, and if so:

* did it help
* did you encounter any problems
Robert Bradley

<a href= - Visual FoxPro Development
Hi Robert

We have had a few problems involving crashes of the RAID software...am interested if you are having similar problems?

Robyn

Howdy, Robyn:

Mine was a pre-purchase question, so I don't have the software - yet. We have an 18-disk, 160+GB RAID, and the indications are that Diskeeper works fine on this configuration and improves performance. I was looking for real-world experiences, especially when using SQL Server.
Robert Bradley

<a href= - Visual FoxPro Development
