For the last few days I've been using the TestOut CBT's for 70-291. It seems pretty good for the most part, but I haven't got to the DNS or RRAS part which I'm struggling with. Anyone have any luck using these then passing the test?

Let me know,

Thanks

Hey, I've got TestOut CBTS and CBTNuggets for the whole MCSE course. I've found that the training vids for test out aren't too bad but aren't too detailed either.

Have you tried Using CBT Nuggets Training videos. I'm studying 70-290 at the moment and CBT nuggets has 12hours worth of videos covering the entire course plus real world explinations. I think its the same for 70-291.

Nyc1298,

Having used TestOut for one exam and CBT Nuggets for another, I agree that CBT Nuggets seem to contain more relevant information. Not that I can compare them as material for the same exam.

I used TestOut for 70-294, which I didn't pass, and haven't retaken. Their coverage of the concepts was good, but didn't seem to go into enough detail on the finer points. The fine points seem to be all that the exam is concerned with.

I like the way that TestOut has exercises that have you go through the steps in configuring things (such as Group Policy for 70-294), but not in the same granular detail that the exam requires.

Your mileage may vary, of course.

I have/am using TestOut for my studying along with ExamCram and the big blue books. Test out is great at getting the concepts across in a good fashion that is easy to digest.

I use them even now for the occassional brush up on topics.

For what it is worth, their CCNA prep was EXCELLENT. There sims were great and hard (more difficult than the sims for the MS exams).

I have the whole set. I like them but found CBT Nuggets more detailed. I use both. I suggest waiting until they do the $495.00 for all of it instead of the regular price of $2K. They did it a couple of months ago so they are due to run the "special" again. I think it is a good deal when you get all of the titles for five hundred (plus free undates for updated titles that come out within a certain time - I got a complete new set this way). I'll be glad to notify you as soon as I get the next email.
