Anyone use GFI mail security?

Hi guys,

I was looking into AV scanning for Exchange and i came accross GFI mail security. Their website says it's good but they would wouldn't they! I was interested to see that after the 60 day trial version has expired it still works but only scans emails using one engine, not 4!

Would the freeware version suffice with a small network with less than 10 users. The desktops would all be running Symantec AV as well.

Anyone used this package in this way?

Hi Paul

I use this product and I like it quite a bit. There are a few controls in it that allow you to tailor it and its very effective. When it expires all you get are tags on the mail, so I would strongly reccomend getting the license. IIR, it isn't all that expsensive.

The reports are great, they can really help you fine tune the settings.

Test it out and see what it does for you...be warned, you will get used to it very quichly

We use it out our company and from what I see and hear four our Network Admin....it is not very good. Actually he hates it. I 'll ask him to post here for the reasons why.

I use this product, and as a matter of fact I have a question for you all!

The Norman Virus Control and Bitdefender aren't updating. I went into General Settings -->Update and tried all 4 different settings, when u forcve an update it will check, and say it's all good without downloading any updates... The signature date is showing 3/18/04 ?!?!? however when their website says just yesterday they updated them?

This is only with these 2 however, when I go to Bayesian Control Updating, it updated and downloaded the latest on those...

I left a message at GFI hoping for them to call me, but I was wondering if ya'll knew how to possible fix this?
