Hi there,
We are considering replacing our 8 2250 consoles with 3905 phones and using Xtend PC based software. We have Xtend now but they will upgrade and it can be used with the 3905's. Want to get rid of the old consoles but not sure if it can handle the volume... Anyone done this before and what was the results if you do not mind sharing. Thanks!!

we are replacing 6 2250's tonight with 3905's and extend. using symposium.. the call vol should not be an issue.. by using age of call to requeue to secondary skill sets as well as real time displays looks like it will help.. may know more tomorrow but we have tested this thing to death.. including unique call treatment for certain callers as well as unique for internal and external.. part of the external is behind a mica, others are transfer via call pilot menus..

so it's doable, just look at all possible numbers that hit the consoles and know that the switch is going into nights

Fabulous! Thanks for the great info. Let me know how it goes, I'd really be interested!

update.. cut went well last night. we ended up with three cdn's so we can play unique recording dependant on where the call comes from.. service level is 100, max que time is under 4 seconds and we've handled around 1000 calls with 5 operators since 8:00.. the call flow is way more balanced, we had 2616's at the consoles for "er" calls because the dial 0 was so slow internal.. by pointing all numbers to the symposium, we have better control and reporting.

We do not have Symposium though, just basic ACD through the switch. Do you see any problems with that? Glad your cut went well!

it will just make it a lot eaiser to play with. you have less control.. i have control to push calls from doctors to next in line based on the number dialed or the calling number.. code calls can interupt any thing..

at your site all callers, internal and external will get the same treatment.. not a bad thing, but my customer wanted some callers to get the hippa recording, others to hear, you may be recorded or monitored and a few other treatments..

all and all, i wish i could have done it with just acd.. 40 hours less scripts.. just make sure if your using idc that you know your in nights (forever).. change the nit_data to your acd dn, make 0 a maxp 1 acd ncfw to mail.. check all your auto yes trunks.. if your atdn in not 0 now, address that in the att_data.. find out if they can use auto answer, i like it, they didn't.. you'll need headsets (plantronics c-50) wireless and another power outlet for each phone.. one for the headset and one for the set, and the ctia module per set.. the old 2 prong headsets no longer work..
