We need a software to control our hardware in our school. Sometimes, during hardware classes, students can steal some pieces, so it would be ideal if we had some good quality software wich keeps track of our hardware configurations for us to check them up regularly. Anyone knows such a piece of software?

Thanks.

What brand are computers?Usually brandname computers has that kind of support, like Compaq, or u can use Microsoft SMS server to alert u when some hardware configuraton is changed.Of course u need networ for that software.If u dont have network u can use System information on each computer but in that case u need to manualy check changes. Hi;

Go to:
and download the Belarc Advisor.

The Belarc Advisor builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware including software license info and puts it onto a html file on your pc.

Ed Please let me know if the sugestion(s) I provide are helpful to you.
Sometimes you're the windshield... Sometimes you're the bug.

Also check out EZ-Audit ( it can audit over a network on any OS. It's great!! You can even add it to the login script so it will audit every time someone logs in.
