We have a physical loop in our system built in our system for phantom TNs and we are about out of space so I want to move that loop to 252. Has anyone out there used ld 25 to move a loop? Just looking for a little feedback before I put our system through this excerise.

I'm not sure you can move from a physical loop to a phantom loop, since the two TN types are programmed differently. (Phantoms require a FTR DCFW value)

Print a CEQU, and print a TN from the physical loop you want to move from.

I dunno, maybe your situation is different, or I didn't understand it - and it might work.

Maybe I didn't state it properly either. We have a 5 group system. Our phantom loop is 164. It is built as a phantom in CEQU. I want to move these to loop 252 which is also built as a phantom loop. The TNs are most for referals and re-directs to voicemail. I'm just a little hesitant to do this during operating hours, we are a hospital.

Ah, I see. I can't remember, but is it possible to do the MOV command on an individual Phantom TN, from say 164-x-x-x to 252-x-x-x?

If you are able to do that no prob, then I would move it back, make some good backups, and probably take the chance and try the LD 25 commands. I would just be prepared to reload it all back to what it was. There seems to be very little to lose and it can all be restored with one button press.

However - for the record - I have never used LD 25 to move a phantom loop.

The instructions for moving a loop in ld 25 requires you to remove all the dtr's in the system and the consoles. I have only done this in the off line cpu, just in case you have issues. It is mostly used for load balancing. Such as having 2 shelfs on one loop and creating a new loop for one of the existing shelfs. I have never moved a phantom loop before, just regular ones. I would think it would be easier to write a script to use the move command to move the tn's.

Made the change this morning with no problems only had about 43 TNs and it only took about 30 seconds.

Excellent, you are a pioneer! Now we all know moving Phantom Loops works.

Cool!! I just build scripts that pull data from an open excel spreadsheet to do stuff like that.
