In short, no. Version 5.1 will permit non-altigen SIP phones to be used on a licensed basis, I think.
There are some WiFi phones (Spectralink) I think that have an analog interface which would work on AltiGen's Quantum or Triton Boards. Symbol also used to make some nice WiFi phones. There may be some cheaper alternatives.
Our company just purchased a MAX1000 system from Altigen (a version 5.1 system that is based on SIP). Any idea if the rumor of being able to buy a site license to use non-altigen phones with the MAX1000 system are true? We are interested in using some wireless SIP phones (Linksys brand) while at various hotspots on travel and wish to still be connected to our office phone system.
