Anyone know how to reference ID tags in Netscape?

Hello -

Is it possible to reference an ID tag in Netscape? For example, if you have a form and you set the properties of a field to equal <input type=.... ID=&quot;myID&quot;...> is there a way to reference and change that field in Netscape? I know it works in IE but i'm not sure it is supported in Netscape? Any thoughts? I need to use the ID tag in addition to the NAME tag, so it doesn't work to just NAME instead of ID.
