Anyone know how to get rid of MSN Toolbar?

This is a really pervasive 'virus'. I can't get rid of the MSN Toolbar.

Has anyone come up with a method of blowing this thing away? Regular removal techniques are not working.

A quick search on Google for "removing msn toolbar" shows many results, the first of which says:

"Click the "MSN" button on the toolbar, then choose "Uninstall".

Did you try that method?

if that doesn't work download if you don't already have it the "hijack this" program and get rid of it

The easiest way, is get the latest version which has the uninstaller.
Upgrade
Uninstall from Add/Remove programmes
Run Microsoft Anti spyware and selete entries


Reboot and run a Registry Cleaner

Finally remove all referenced Folders and clear Pre-fetch
