I have a MAP100 R5 and when I looked at upgrading to Modular Messaging was told that it does not support hospitality integration any longer and was pushed towards an Avaya Dev Connect partner called Innovation.

I must say I'm not thrilled with the idea and thinking about hanging on to my Intuity instead even though support ends 6/11.

I've had no issues other than a couple of hard disks failing, just curious if anyone has some feedback on this.

thx

I know that getting parts is an issue. We have one in the Netherlands that I can not get the backup drive replaced.

I got a quote this morning for a new MM setup. They are offering an incentive to migrate between now and the end of May. This will probably happen even though i look to have a lot more problems than I have had out of our Intuity.

When is the last time you helped someone, just because you were able to?

You can get Intuity and parts with no problem

Yes, the only messaging platforms going forward supported by AVAYA will be:

Modular Messaging
Communication Manager Messaging [CMM] (built into the S8300/S8400 or S8500 type servers)
Avaya Aura Messaging (new product comming out)

They have ended suport for the older MAP series, even the Intuity Audix LX has gone EOL. This push to elliminate the older, tested, and solid platforms is somewhat disturbing, but they are probably looking to retire not only the products, but the engineers who supported them :(

whatever you do.. don't ditch it for modular messaging.

I wouldn't spend a dime on MM, in 5 years that product will no longer exist.

Do you have any more information on
Avaya Aura Messaging (new product comming out)??

I hate to jump on the latest, greatest with all the problems that are usually associated with them. I normally sit back and let you guys get the bugs worked out and then go to them afterwards.. [smile]

I am peaved as well. We just added an "LX" last year to one of our small systems, thinking it was the latest and greatest... phooey.
This year we need to awitch systems on our big system and I believe if I could find something reliable in the way of Voice mail, I would go away from Avaya.
I am also looking at other PBX's but don't know if I have the guts to abandon Avaya yet. Partly because half of my stations must stay analog.
Any body else as upset about all these shenanigans as I am?

When you mix windows and linux you are basically admiting to not having a clue. I really have nothing good to say about MM whatsoever and that's sad. Email notification is nice, but you can get that with anything these days.

I have heard things about the newer Avaya voicemail/messaging products coming out and they actually sound quite good. I heard 1 is all VM.

I better clarify, my "X" is good but now I can not expand it. That's a little discomforting as it's essentially new!

Check out AVST. Rock solid in my experience.. vendor agnostic. I have it hooked up to CM 5.2.1.

just go Microsoft UM + OCS integration like everyone else. :)

you have to pay for a 3rd party MWI app if you need that. Our users are fine with everything being in email. Most have never used the TUI.

i've got the entire list of comcodes for all the Intuity voice mail platforms on a couple of spreadsheets if anyone needs them.
