Hi,

We have IP office running version 9, when we spoke to the partner to add more IP endpoint licenses they ask to upgrade the whole system to version 11 which will cost us a lot, and some application won't work as well because it discontinued

any workaround on this?

If you can get hold of an old V1 VCM module they have 12? virtual licences.

is it just plug and play? the system already has VCM32 V2 with version 9.0, will it conflict with it?

Should be and I am not aware of any conflict but there is a maximum of 2 modules per system.

Part numbers for reference:

Voice Compression Cards: Maximum 2

- IPO 500 MC VCM 32 (700417289)
- IPO IP500 VCM 32 TAA (700501518)
- IPO 500 MC VCM 64 (700417397)

- IPO IP500 MC VCM 32 V2 (700504031)
- IPO IP500 VCM 32 TAA V2 (700504033)
- IPO IP500 MC VCM 64 V2 (700505032)

On R9 you can mix ADI and PLDS licenses.

And Avaya R10+ IP endpoint PLDS licenses work on R9 as well. (tried and tested).

So just order new licenses, create the license file and go.

Okkie26, I started a new thread related to your response here.
It's the "9.1.12 need SCN license"
If you have time & can read the info I put in there, could you please responded.
Thanks

@ipohead

we already have two modules at the moment :(

@Okkie26

that's interesting, we have already tried to reach one of Avaya dealer locally, give him a copy of our configuration and SD card. he says you can't purchase more IP endpoint without an upgrade

BTW, our current version is 9.0

Which chassis do you have? V1 can't be upgraded beyond 9 so would need to be replaced. If you have V2 the software upgrade to R11 isn't much in the great scheme of things.

Which apps are you looking at? There may be replacements in R11?

we have v2 but still running 9.0.1
also, we have CCR and voice pro, they need us to upgrade the whole thing and says some app won't be supported due to discontinued

Are your current VCM cards V1 or V2? (V1 cards will just show VCM32 or VMC64 - V2 cards will show VCM32 V2 or VCM64 V2)

If the current cards are V2, you can swap them for the V1 cards to pick up the virtual IP Endpoint licenses

If you managed to get hold of 2 X VCM 1 32 or 64 you would have a maximum of 24 endpoints so would this be OK for you?

Voicemail Pro is a straight forward upgrade although there is a charge for this.

CCR is being replaced but I will leave it to others to explain.
