Any way to recover the root password of LPAR managed my an HMC

Hi,
Is there any way to recover the root password of LPAR managed my an HMC.

Please need an urgent attention in this respect.

You must start the LPAR from a mksysb image (NIM, tape or DVD), start in maintenance mode and change the root password.

The mksysb image must be at the same oslevel than the LPAR.

But will this lead to any type of loss of data on that LPAR as i am working on Production environment.So just want to confirm.

This will definitly won't do any harm to your data!
