when i've been configuring my routers (2500s and 1600s) i do an erase start and switch them off (i'm using them for my ccna).

i need the routers to reload in setup mode each time however sometimes they reload and try to load .cfg files and reconfigure themselves.

is there any way to stop this and have them load into setup mode each time???

I always do a "write erase" ..... makes sure in your config there isnt an entry that says SERVICE CONFIG .... if so type no service config in config mode. Make sure you wr mem and then reboot.
