Any way to get production signatures using Acrobat? 1

I have an eight-page Word file I need to prepare for printing. Each page is 8 1/2 x 11" and the document will be printed in two 11 x 17 four-page signatures.

I am looking for a way to generate a PDF of this document in signature layout. That is, instead of page 3 following page 2, Page 2 is faced by page 7. This allows the printer to go straight to plate from the PDF.

Anyone have any ideas how to do this? I can't find any settings in Acrobate. Searching on "signature" in the help just brings up stuff about digital signatures and certificates.

Have a look for "Quite Imposing" plug-in for Acrobat, that's what we used to use to do that until I wrote an app to do it.
