Is there a way to change the gray and white checkerboard "trasparent" backgroud to white, instead of the checkerboard?

I often knock the background out of images but it's really hard to see those little missed specks and smudges against the "checkerboard" I usually have to place the photo in InDesign and then bounce back and forth between the two programs until I get all the little remnantes erased. This is really time consuming, though.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

Go to Photoshop preferences/guides-grid.

Change grid as you like. To make any fill color, for the checkerboard, click on the big color box to the right and make what you want, instead of using the drop down menu.

Thanks a million, jmgalvin! This is a great tip and will save me a LOT of time down the road!

Best regards,

Joe
