Any Virtual Lab ?

Hi all,

I am completely new to Networking. I am taking a distance-learning course on this subject at MCC.

I can follow the theory well, but I need to see some practical applications and equipments. Is there any good site with a virtual lab or demo of these things ? Any such link you provide will be highly useful to me.

Lucent has a virtual lab where you can telnet to Lucent routers. Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot you can do as most of the devices do not have telco lines attached to them. But you can browse the menus and such. Here's the link:

I just tried it out today. No problems reaching it. You may have a DNS issue or a browser config issue. You can also try the IP address: 208.211.252.5. If you can reach the site with the IP address but not the URL name then you have a DNS issue.
